What is an AI readiness assessment?

By Mike Olaski, Founder, rehabit · Last reviewed 2026-10-27

An AI readiness assessment measures how much of a business's repeatable work is still manual, and where AI would pay off first. For a coaching or expert business, that means checking marketing, sales, delivery and operations, then naming the one or two areas to fix before buying any more tools.

Enterprise readiness frameworks focus on data platforms, governance and skills across large organisations. A founder-led coaching business has a different question: which repeatable jobs still route through the founder's hours, and which of them would AI handle well with a person approving what matters?

rehabit's free AI Readiness Scorecard answers that in about five minutes: 16 questions, a score from 0 to 100 across the four areas, and the three opportunities to fix first. How the Scorecard works explains every question, weight and grade. It is a directional diagnostic; the paid Audit replaces the estimates with your real workflows and costs.
